Meet Shelley

Shelley was born and raised in the greater Sacramento region. She attended San Diego State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing Studies. Upon graduating, she returned to Sacramento and attended McGeorge School of Law, where she focused her academics on Elder Law. She became a Certified Law Student practicing in the McGeorge Elder Law legal clinic and participated in internships focusing on estate planning, probate, and estate administration matters. Shelley was a member of the University of Pacific Law Review, became a Certified Mediator, and ultimately graduated with distinction.

After passing the California bar exam, Shelley married her highschool sweetheart and began practicing as an estate planning and estate administration attorney on the Central Coast. She has gained invaluable experience drafting and administering basic and complex estates and assisting diverse clients in various matters.

Shelley established the Law Office of Shelley Kauffman with the motivation to continue serving individuals, families, and couples residing in California. She is driven to provide a personable and tailored service to her clients leveraging her creativity and passion for estate planning.

Outside of the office, Shelley enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
